So I decided on night. Made a great background with a moon, fairies, etc. Problem was I used Distress inks and in this humidity they were extra juicy and they came on way too heavy and they spread. I hated it.
I ended up changing my word to NOTE.
I covered the night picture by using some very thin decorative paper with notes and used distress inks on it. Ended up putting Gesso over parts of it and putting more ink through a stencil. I drew some musical notes on paper, used Distress inks and used a punch to make it look like it was from a notebook. The definition is also on a paper that I used that punch from. Note is from a stamp set I have.
Looking forward to the next letter. Hope its a fun one!

I have no idea how Night would have turned out, but I certainly like this new word. Note is perfect and you documented and illustrated it so very well. I really like the music inspired tissue you used. I think it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile... You should have gone with your 1st choice, Brits love irreverence and if it wasn't for a certain US president I would never have learned about this word. You did an excellent job with Note though...
ReplyDeleteI had a chukle at your ideas for nincompoop! Your background is fabulous so your earlier mishap was obviously meant to be. The gesso really lifts the page and adds depth at the same time xx
ReplyDeleteI love the way you rescued the pages - I would probably have drawn a line through them and started again from scratch!
