O is for Owl

So here we go again with a new letter for  The Craft Barn Alpha/ Dictionary Challenge! This time it is the letter O. I thought of some interesting words but in the end I decided on Owl. Now I know there are going to be a ton of entries with  Owls but I have a coloring book just on owls so I decided to use a section of a page on my entry.

I loved the Owl and the Pussycat one so colored that one in pencils and cut it out. I first painted the pages in  blue that I mixed together with white. I wanted a color that could be sky or water. Where the cut outs are on the bottom of the boat I used a white gel pen to give the feeling of foam on waves. I used a foam letter O sticker and the dictionary cut out for owl.
I could have done more to the background but alas I am packing again as the landlord wants to rent the apartment to someone else and raise the rent a lot!
As always I really appreciate all the comments.

  2. This is incredible. I adore the way you colored and doodled the owl and the pussycat, as well as the frothy foam under the boat. Cleverly conceived and beautifully executed.

Sorry about your having to move. I feel for you.
